| Some of the most stunning images in the history of smoking glamour are those created for JOB Cigarette Paper Company around the turn of the twentieth century. The company was founded in 1830 by Jean Bardou, who put his initials on each package of paper. The diamond between the "J" and the "B" was nothing more than a stylized hyphen. The general public read it as "JOB", and that is how most people know it over a century and a half later.
